I'm not understanding your question or VMWare or Fusion, or all of the above, because as far as I can tell since I haven't been able to run VMWare I haven't been able to run Windows/the virtual machine (VM).

I'll install Fusion 2 then see what happens. Open Install VMware Tools on the VMware Tools virtual disc, follow the prompts in the installer assistant, and click OK. Procedure Select the menu command to mount and open the VMware Tools virtual disc on the guest operating system. is it immediately when you start the VM? What happens in the vm log? (from that virtual machine's log) does the VM power down? Verify that the guest operating system is running. Regardless, your best option is usually to boot into Recovery Mode. My guess is that the copy of Yosemite you've downloaded is either 10.10.0, 10.10.1 or a build version of 10.10.2 earlier than 14C2043. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update." Another mystery. As for Yosemite, the earliest possible version that will run on your model MacBook Air is actually Mac OS X 10.10.2 (build 14C2043).
UNABLE TO INSTALL MAC OS X VMWARE UPDATE
Interesting that you ask if I can update to 10.5.4, because I've tried that twice today and received an error message that says "You cannot install Mac OS X Update on this volume.

I'm in the latest Fusion Build, but I'm downloading Fusion 2.0 Beta as I type this.Īnd which exact 10.5 version you have? Can you upgrade the OS to 10.5.4 first, then update Fusion to either 1.1.3 or 2, and reinstall the VMware Tools on the affected VMs.
